St Michael's
We believe that a three way partnership between the school, its students and their parents is vital to success

The LRC Charter is behaviour agreement made between our staff and students. What we expect of you and what you can expect from us. We aim to provide an effective learning environment for you in the Learning Resource Centre.

We ask that you do your best to:

  • ask for help if you need it
  • be sensible and responsible when using the LRC and avoid disturbing other people
  • take your coat off when entering the LRC and always be in the correct uniform
  • keep your food and drink to areas of the school where eating is allowed; plain water is acceptable providing care is taken
  • have all books, audiobooks and DVDs stamped at the desk before you leave
  • return all books and other items on time to the desk so that others can enjoy them; remember to have them renewed for longer if you haven’t finished
  • treat netbooks with care and use them appropriately, no games allowed!
  • keep the library and shelves tidy and treat all resources with respect
  • keep your mobile phones on silent and in your bag
  • respect everyone and everything in the LRC

We will do our best to:

  • be friendly and helpful
  • ensure the LRC is a pleasant and welcoming place to be
  • make sure the LRC is open for you to use throughout and beyond the school day
  • help you to find the information you need
  • provide areas for you to read and study
  • make sure that the netbooks are working
  • recommend books to you
  • do our best to inspire and motivate you in learning

We hope you enjoy using the LRC!
